24 Hours
A pharmacy that is open 24 hours.
Delivery
A pharmacy that provides pharmacy delivery service.
Drive Thru
A pharmacy that provides a drive thru service.
Electronic Prescribing Enabled
A pharmacy that accepts prescriptions through electronic prescribing.
Extended Day Supply
For some drugs, you can get a long-term supply (also called an \'extended supply\') when you fill your prescription. A long term supply is up to a 90-day supply.
Indian Health Services/Tribal/Urban Indian Health (I/T/U) Pharmacy
Only Native Americans and Alaska Natives have access to Indian Health Service/Tribal/Urban Indian Health Program (I/T/U) Pharmacies through Magellan Rx Medicare Basic (PDP)\'s pharmacy network. Those Other than Native Americans and Alaska Natives may be able to access these pharmacies
IV Infusion
Pharmacy-based, decentralized patient care organization with expertise in USP 797-compliant sterile drug compounding that provides care to patients with acute or chronic conditions generally pertaining to parenteral administration of drugs, biologics and nutritional formulae administered through catheters and/or needles in home and alternate sites. Extensive professional pharmacy services, care coordination, infusion nursing services, supplies and equipment are provided to optimize efficacy and compliance.
Long Term Care Pharmacy
Residents of a long-term care facility may access their prescription drugs covered under Magellan Rx Medicare Basic (PDP) through their facility's long-term care pharmacy or another network long-term care pharmacy.
Retail Pharmacy
A pharmacy where pharmacists store, prepare, and dispense medicinal preparations and/or prescriptions for a local patient population in accordance with federal and state law; counsel patients and caregivers (sometimes independent of the dispensing process); administer vaccinations; and provide other professional services associated with pharmaceutical care such as health screenings, consultative services with other health care providers, collaborative practice, disease state management, and education classes.
